Séraphine

Synopsis

Paris, 1883. In Montmartre, the Sacré-Coeur is growing on the Butte in a pharaonic construction project. Seraphine, 12, lives a monotonous life with Jeanne, the grumpy seamstress who raised her, but decides to change her life. She has one obsession: to find out who her parents were. Flanked by Mistigri, a street child she takes under her wing, Séraphine traces the secret of her origins. She finds the key to her story in the struggles waged by the people of Montmartre.
