Dansker
Synopsis
James has taken refuge in Denmark. Leaving behind a dark past of trauma and violence in Turkey, he hopes to make a fresh start and build a better life for himself. However, he struggles in vain to establish himself as a "foreign worker" in 1970s Denmark. Unable to speak the language and lacking an education, he finds himself on the margins of society. He is gradually drawn into a criminal world, where one is either trampled underfoot, or the one who tramples. He leaves his family and works his way up to become a major drug trafficker, with all that this entails.
